Twenty-five years ago Wednesday night, Mr. and Mrs. John M. Kerr, of 107 West Bloom Street, began their married life.  On that evening they were wedded in a house that stood on the southwest corner of Fourth and Mulberry Streets, where now stands the home of Mr. J.C. Vennum.  It being the twenty-fifth anniversary last night, about twenty-five relatives and intimate friends gathered at their home to celebrate the event.  The evening was spent in relating reminiscences by the old folks and of course the young people took care of themselves.  After lunch the Rev. Dr. Wiles, on behalf of the host and hostess, thanked the friends and relatives for the mementoes which they had presented betokening the esteem in which they held Mr. and Mrs. Kerr.  There were four generations presented at the gathering.  Grandmother S. Alger, her daughter, Mrs. C. Elliott, of Ontario, Mr. R.M. Elliott and little Miss Edith Elliott being the representatives.
