WORTHINGTON ENTERPRISE (date unknown - ca. Spring, 1906) 

Bemiller, Doyl - Doyl Bemiller, infant son of Mr. & Mrs. Joe Bemiller, was born Jan. 23rd., 1906 and died Jan. 31st., 1906, aged 9 days.  On Saturday, Feb. 3rd., its little form was laid to rest in the Zion cemetery north of Butler.

 

BUTLER ENTERPRISE:  06 April 1893

Born, to John Freehafer and wife, a son, on the 28th. ult.

A bouncing boy baby was born to Otis Pitts and wife, Saturday.

Bangorville – Died, March 23, 1893, an infant son of Wm. Black.

Bangorville - An infant son of Anthony Daily, Jr., died at the home of Stewart Sillaman’s, south of Fredericktown.

Bangorville - Married, March 30, Lee Hosack and Miss Nettie McDaniel, by Rev. Moffet.  The contracting parties are both of this vicinity.

 

BUTLER ENTERPRISE:  19 July 1894, Vol. VI, No. 34

Bellville – Mrs. Anna Shafer (nee Goss) was born Oct. 20, 1821 and died July 14, 1894, aged 72 years, 8 months and 24 days.  The funeral services were conducted at the Salem Lutheran church, Sunday, July 15, at 2:30 p.m., by Rev. J.N. Barnett.  Deceased was well known and well liked and leaves a large number of friends to mourn her loss.  Her funeral was largely attended.

 

BUTLER ENTERPRISE:  23 May 1895, Vol. VII, No. 25

Bellville - J.C. Nelson and Miss Nettie Balmer attended the funeral of Miss Edith Britch, at Mansfield, last Sabbath.

Bellville - Mrs. Elizabeth R. Clark, wife of Marshall Clark, died Saturday, May 18, aged 69 years, 7 months and 9 days.  The funeral took place from the family residence on Bell Street at 1 o’clock, Sunday with Rev. C.W. Caldwell as the officiating minister.  The interment was made in the Fredericktown cemetery.

Bellville - Cards are out announcing the marriage of Sidney L. Palmer and Miss Ada L. Mowry at the home of the bride’s parents, Mr. & Mrs. Matthias Mowry of the Children’s Home, Wednesday evening, May 29 at 6:30. [reprinted from Saturday’s Shield]

Bellville - Wm. B. Grant, a well known farmer of Morris Twp., Knox County, hung himself in his barn Friday night or Saturday morning of last week.

Bellville - Born - To Calvin Mishey and wife, of Georgetown, Colo., May 15. A son.

George Wohlford, residing four miles southeast of Butler, died very suddenly Tuesday night of cancer of the stomach, aged 83 years.  Funeral Thursday.  Meet at the house at 1 o’clock.  Interment in the Zion Cemetery, commonly known as Four Corners.

  

 

BUTLER ENTERPRISE:  12 September 1895, Vol. VII, No. 41

The little three years old boy of Geo. Cotsey died last Thursday night of cholera infantum and buried Saturday afternoon at Bunker Hill.  Rev. Lantz, of Lexington, preached the funeral.

Butler.  Levi Houck, aged 19, died at Isaac Bowers’ last Thursday afternoon of typhoid fever and was buried in the Bellville Cemetery, Friday afternoon.  Rev. J.N. Barnett preached the funeral service.

Butler.  Lizzie, the 8-year-old daughter of John Mosel, one and one-half miles northeast of Ankneytown, died Friday evening and was buried Sunday at 10 a.m. at Ankneytown Cemetery.  Her malady was typhoid-pneumonia.  Rev. Henry Keller preached the funeral.

Butler.  Caleb Dill died Friday night about 10 o’clock, aged 67 years.  He was buried at Bunker Hill Sunday at 2 p.m.  Rev. J.H. Deeds, of Bellville, preached the funeral, which is said to be the largest ever witnessed at Bunker Hill.  His death was caused by some kind of growth in the stomach.

Lexington – A blithesome little daughter cast the light of its features on Mr. & Mrs. Lute Sowash’s domicile, Wednesday.

    

 

BUTLER TIMES:  12 July 1902, Vol. X, No. 1

Born, to Dora Shaffer and wife, east of town, last Friday evening, a boy.  Dr. R.S. Hubbs reports all are well.

Pleasant Hill.  Born to Mr. & Mrs. Henry Hoeflick, a eleven pound boy last Tuesday.  Mother and child are getting along nicely.
