Emanuel Meily

Born 22 September 1866 in Mansfield and died on his birthday in 1947.  He married Laura Delp, daughter of Adam & Wilhelmina (Snook) Delp, all from Richland County, and the couple had two daughters, Addie and Edna.

Emanual was employed at the Ohio Brass Company for more than 50 years.  In the 1886-87 Mansfield City Directory he was listed as a brass finisher, living at 13 Pleasant Avenue.  He was the son of John Kerk Meily, who was the nephew of the weaver, Samuel Meily.  After retiring from Ohio Brass, Emanual worked as a security guard or night watchman.
