Elected Worshipful Master on 03 July 1841, under his leadership the following men received their degrees: Hiram Humphreys, Jonas Stough, John Lamb, Robert W. McNeil, David McCullough and Joseph Hildreth
Born in Beaver Co., Penn. on 02 February 1802
Studied law in the office of General Moore in Beaver, and then removed to Canton, Ohio to begin building his law practice
Came to Mansfield in 1828
Raised a company and left for the front when the Mexican War broke out
Resumed his law practice in 1847, which he continued until the spring of 1861, when he went into military service once again
Died on 23 July 1862 on the Big Sandy River in Kentucky
Interred at Mansfield with military honors
