Tuesday.  Married, on the 2d. inst., at the residence of H. Nelson, on West Second Street, by Rev. G.M. Kemp, Ernest C. Tulloss and Miss Laura L. Martin.

The residence of John B. Niman and wife, at No. 245 West Fourth Street was filled with guests last evening, who were bidden to the marriage of their eldest daughter, Miss E. Ella, to Walter M. Bisbee, of Chicago.

Friday.  Married, on the 27th. inst., at Shenandoah, by Rev. G.M. Kemp, Albert McClain and Miss Wilya Longnecker.

Butler.  A.D. Beasley and Miss Ena Thompson were quietly married in the place on last Sunday, by Rev. Bone.  They will leave soon for Indiana, where they will make their future home.

Thursday.  Prof. E.D. Williams, of Otterbein University, and Miss Lulu Whissemore, were married at the home of the bride, on Marion Avenue, last night.

Thursday.  A nice little sensation has developed in the hamlet of Butler.  A few months ago Al. Beasly, a young man of good appearance, turned up and went to work for James A. Price, editor of the Butler Enterprise.  He became acquainted with Miss Ena Thompson, a highly respected young lady of Butler.  They were married Jan. 7th., and started for Petersburg, Indiana.  Upon their arrival at Washington, Ind., Beasly secured $300 from his wife and deserted her.

Tuesday.  Married, by the Rev. D. Kemble, on Feb. 11th., 1894, Mr. John A. Hull, of Holmes County, and Miss Eldora Wirth, of Mansfield.

On Wednesday, Feb. 7th. between 40 and 50 relatives and friends gathered at the residence of Mr. & Mrs. Amos R. Boyce, in Franklin Township, to witness the marriage of their youngest daughter, Minnie V., to Mr. Walter W. Friday.  Married, at the M.E. parsonage, Thursday evening, Feb. 8th., by Rev. Dusten Kemble, Mr. Charles C. Wigton and Miss Helen J. Craig, all of Mansfield.

Friday.  Married, at the home of Mrs. Sarah E. Smith, on Sturges Avenue, on Thursday evening, Feb. 8, Peter Frietchen, Jr. and Miss Lauretta Cunningham, by Rev. A.H. Smith.

Saturday.  On Wednesday evening last Wm. Jemison and Miss Dennie Fox, who live near the city, were married by Rev. Dr. Wiles at the latter's residence.

24 February 1894, Vol. LXXVI, No. 41

Shenandoah.  J.M. Hunter and Mrs. Verda Chew were married a week ago on the sly and, after taking a tour to Columbus, they have returned home.  Their many friends of this place wish them much joy.

Joseph M. Hunter and Mrs. Alverda E. Chew were united in marriage in this city last evening.  Mr. Hunter is ex-superintendent of the county infirmary and at the county primary last spring, was a candidate for Representative but was defeated by Hon. C.E. McBride.  Mr. Hunter is a resident of the northern part of the county and is known as a genial gentleman with a host of friends, whom the Shield joins in extending congratulations.  Mr. and Mrs. Hunter left last night for a wedding trip to Cleveland.

Friday.  The many friends of George W. Herring and Miss Ina M. Coville will be surprised to learn of their marriage at half past eight o'clock last evening.  The ceremony was performed at the parsonage of the English Lutheran church, by Rev. H.L. Wiles, in the presence of but two of their most intimate friends.  Both of the young people are employed in the local post office.  Mr. Herring is assistant mailing clerk and Miss Coville is the money-order clerk.  Mr. and Mrs. Herring will occupy rooms at the home of the groom's father, James H. Herring, on East Fourth Street.

Friday.  A quiet wedding which occurred at 8 o'clock last evening will be a great surprise to the large circle of friends of the contracting parties.  At the parsonage of the Methodist Episcopal church, James B. Jesson and Miss Nellie B. Shea were made husband and wife by Rev. Dustin Kemble.  The bride is the daughter of A.R. Shea and wife, and the groom is assistant bookkeeper for the Tracy & Avery wholesale grocery company.  The young couple will temporarily reside with the bride's parents at No. 33 Northwood Street.

Thursday.  Married, at the residence of Mr. and Mrs. Albert Race, March 14th., by Rev. W.L. Neal, of Bellefontaine, O., Mr. Elmer L. Carpenter, of Defiance, and Miss Laura N. Race.  The happy couple left on an evening train for their future home in Defiance.

Bellville.  On Thursday evening, March 15, Mr. Will Walker and Miss Ida Fisher were married at the home of the groom's parents, Mr. & Mrs. Dan. Walker, near this place, Rev. Barnett, Jr., officiating.

Mifflin.  Miss Della Powers and Burt Amsbaugh were married at the home of the bride's mother last week.

Oakland.  A quiet wedding occurred in this vicinity last week, the contracting parties being Miss Artie Mottayaw and Herbert Doolittle.

Wednesday.  Wm. L. Siver and Miss Lida Jamison, both of this city, were married by Justice Endly last evening.

Last evening the elegant residence of Mr. & Mrs. R.B. Maxwell, on South Main Street, was the scene of one of the principal social events of the season, it being the occasion of the marriage of their eldest daughter, Miss Janet Maxwell, to Efflo Bowers Proctor.  The bride and groom are two of Mansfield's most popular young people.  The groom is the eldest son of F.M. Thursday.  Jess. Kneeland and Clara Strunck, both of this city, were married at the parsonage of the English Lutheran Church this afternoon by Rev. H.L. Wiles, D.D.

Thursday.  Ross A. Glessner and Miss Ella Henry were united in marriage by Rev. H.L. Wiles at 8 o'clock last night at the Lutheran parsonage.  Mr. Glessner is a member of the grocery firm of Glessner & Steinruck and is one of the most popular and energetic young business men of the city.  The bride is the daughter of David E. Henry and wife, of Vale Avenue.  She was formerly a teacher in the public schools of this city.  Mr. and Mrs. Glessner will go to housekeeping on East Fourth Street, where they will be at home to their friends.

James Sowash and Miss Allie Burns, both of this city, were married last evening at the residence of James Cummings, on Bowman Street, Rev. Dr. H.L. Wiles officiating.  The newly-married couple went to house-keeping at once at the corner of North Diamond and Johns Streets.

Thursday.  Invitations are out announcing the marriage of Jay W. Borough and Zella M. McClaran, in this city, on May 2nd.  They will be at home after May 15th., at 101 S. Main Street, North Baltimore, Ohio, where they will make their future home.

T.F. Newlon, a brother of ex-Mayor Newlon, and Mrs. Margaret Morehead were married this morning by Rev. Dr. Meese at the First Presbyterian parsonage.  The groom is 62 years old, and a resident of this city.  The bride is 65 years old and lives on a farm several miles southwest of the city on the Lexington Road.  The newly-married couple drove to Crestline to visit Mr. Newlon's relatives.

Last night the First Presbyterian church was comfortably filled with the society people of this city to witness the marriage of Miss Katherine LeClere Lewis, of this city, and Dr. William Bushnell, of New York City, son of M.B. Saturday.  Jefferson Frontz, of Perrysville, and Miss Elverda Riblet, of Bellville, were married Thursday evening by Rev. Dr. H.L. Wiles, at the Lutheran parsonage.

Sunday.  Rev. Dr. H.L. Wiles performed the marriage ceremony for two couples at his residence last evening.  The first couple was Frank Shultz and Miss Eliza Picking, both of Spring Mills;  the second, Albert L. Adams, of this city, and Miss Laura Sheppard, of Lexington.

Wednesday.  Adolph Pulvermiller and Miss Emma Heinikowski were united in marriage last night by Rev. F. Buesser at the home of Carl Kalkstein, on Wayne Avenue.  The Leidertafel Society, of which Mr. Pulvermiller is a prominent members, serenaded the newly-wedded couple immediately after their marriage.

Friday.  Yesterday Wm. Hill and Mary Hebler were married at the parsonage by Rev. H.L. Wiles, D.D.  They have begun housekeeping on Miller Street.

Wednesday.  Henry Harmon and Mary Morehead were married at the First English Lutheran parsonage last night by the Rev. Dr. H.L. Wiles.

About eight o'clock Wednesday evening about 100 invited guests assembled at the residence of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Ackerman, on East First Street, to witness the wedding of their daughter, Mary Ackerman, to Robert Carver, of Crestline.  After the ceremony, which was performed by Dr. H.L. Wiles, an elegant wedding supper was served.  Many handsome and valuable presents were received by the bride and groom.  Mr. and Mrs. Carver began house-keeping at once at their home on North Main Street, with the best wishes of their many friends in this city.

Friday.  John F. Hink and Miss Mamie A. Miller were united in marriage last evening at the home of the bride's father, Geo. W. Miller, four miles west of the city.  Rev. Dr. H.L. Wiles performed the ceremony.

Bellville.  Married, at the residence of Mr. and Mrs. O.H. Gurney, on Wednesday, May 16th., Miss Nettie Gurney to Mr. Francis Everts, of Washington, D.C., Rev. Harry L. Canfield, of Akron, officiating.

26 May 1894, Vol. LXXVII, No. 2

Frank M. Finney and Birdie L. McCullough will be married at 5 o'clock this afternoon at the residence of the bride's father, Jacob McCullough, about three miles south of the city.  Only the relatives of the two contracting parties will be present.

Thursday.  At the parsonage last night at 8 o'clock, Rev. Dr. H.L. Wiles married Merrill Green and Rosa Damlos, of this city.

02 June 1894, Vol. LXXVII, No. 3

Woodville.  A quiet wedding came off at the home of Mr. & Mrs. J. McCullough, on Wednesday evening, May 23d., the contracting parties being their daughter, Birdie, to Mr. Frank Finney, Dr. H.L. Wiles officiating.  

Thursday.  Invitations have been issued to the marriage of William Todd Hedges and Miss Jessie Floy French, Tuesday evening, June 12th., at the Episcopal church on West Third Street.  Miss French is a niece of Mr. and Mrs. Butler F. Williams, of West Fourth Street.  Mr. Hedges is a well-known young man of this city, formerly city editor of the SHIELD and has a host of friends.  He is at present conducting a ticket brokerage business at Newark.

Bellville.  Two of our best and most popular young people were wedded by Rev. Deeds at the M.E. parsonage on Thursday evening, May 31st.  They were Harvey Phelps, principal of the high school, and Miss Belva, daughter of Mayor and Mrs. Lafferty.

Tuesday.  A.E. Stocker, formerly in the ticket broker business in this city and now located at Canton, was married last night to Miss Maude Cox, at the residence of her parents, Mr. & Mrs. Geo. M. Cox, on Daisy Street.

Wednesday.  Cards are out for the wedding of Will H. Gugler and Miss Lottie Bell Platt.  The ceremony will take place at high noon on Wednesday, the 20th. at the residence of the bride's parents, Mr. and Mrs. B.F. Platt, No. 277 Newman Street.

Thursday.  Geo. A. Storck and Miss Anna K. Jacob, both of this city, were married last evening by Rev. George H. Reen at his residence on Park Avenue West.

Friday.  The many friends of Leslie L. Palmer in this city were greatly surprised when they learned of his marriage last Wednesday evening to Miss Emma Freitchen, of this city.  They left immediately on a wedding trip to Cleveland and other cities.

Wednesday.  Invitations are out announcing the marriage of Miss Florence Alberta Jenner, second daughter of Judge J.W. Jenner and wife, of this city, to Mr. Edward W. Dann, of Columbus, at the bride's home, 301 Park Avenue West, on Wednesday afternoon, June 27th.

Wednesday.  Married, June 12th., at the residence of the bride's father, Warren McCready, on South Main Street, in the presence of the immediate relatives, by Rev. Dr. H.L. Wiles, Leander Steel and Mrs. Ella D. Charles, both of this city.  Mr. and Mrs. Steel will begin housekeeping on Lexington Avenue.

Allen G. Martin, son of T.B. Martin, and an express messenger on the Pennsylvania railroad, was married at 8 o'clock last night to Miss Harriett E. Alger, at the residence of the bride's parents, Mr. and Mrs. L.M. Alger, on Augustine Avenue.  The ceremony was performed by the Rev. H.A. Sumrell in the presence of only the immediate relatives.

The marriage of Florence Alberta Jenner, second daughter of Judge and Mrs. J.W. Jenner, and Edward William Dann, vice-president of the J.W. Dann Manufacturing Company, of Columbus, was solemnized at 3 o'clock this afternoon in the presence of 100 invited guests at the residence of the bride's parents, 301 Park Avenue West.   *A further account of this event can be found in the source paper.

Thursday.  Will G. Hackedorn and Mattie Vance, of this city, were married last Tuesday, evening by 'Squire Endly.

Oakland.  A quiet wedding occurred in this vicinity, the contracting parties being Miss Rose Sunkel and Frank Hursh.

Wednesday.  R.M. Runyan and Ida Runyan were married at the home of the bride, on North Main Street, last evening by Rev. Dusten Kemble.  Mr. & Mrs. Runyan were divorced several years ago and Mr. Runyan went to Chicago where he is engaged in business and where they will make their future home.

Tuesday.  Adam Stillwagon and Miss Dora Earick were married yesterday afternoon by Rev. Geo. H. Reen, at the latter's residence on Park Avenue West.

Sunday.  Mr. A.F. Secrist, of Worthington Twp., and Miss Cora Niman, of Jefferson Twp., will be united in marriage this morning at 9 o'clock by Rev. W.F. Barnett, of Bellville, at the residence of the bride's parents, Mr. & Mrs. L.B. Niman, south of Bellville.

Friday.  E.B. Thomas, of Toledo, and Miss Callie Winfield, of this city, and Fred. A. Frost and Miss Mary Bidle, both of this city, were married at the First English Lutheran parsonage last evening by Rev. H.L. Wiles, D.D.

Cards are out announcing the marriage of Dorothy Byrde Rogers to Thomas Clarence Noyes, of Washington, D.C.  The ceremony is to be performed at the Sixteenth Street Baptist Church at high noon, September 5th.  Miss Rogers is the only daughter of Capt. W.A. Rogers and wife, formerly of this city.  Since leaving here she has achieved much popularity as a singer, being frequently referred to by the Washington press as the most accomplished vocalist of that city.  She has a list of warm friends in Mansfield who will be pleased to learn of her engagement.  Mr. Noyes is the son of the editor and vice-president of the Washington Star, and is engaged in newspaper work.  He is one of the most highly esteemed and respected young men of the Capitol city.  The couple will spend a month in Europe after their marriage.

Butler.  Married, at the residence of the bride's parents, Mr. & Mrs. J.W. Wilson, Friday evening, Wm. Scott, of Alta, and Miss Albina Wilson.  The happy couple left immediately afterward on an extensive wedding tour.

08 September 1894, Vol. LXXVII, No. 17

Wednesday.  At the First English Lutheran parsonage this afternoon Rev. H.L. Wiles married Vernon J. Dent and Mary J. Cotter.

Wednesday.  A very pleasant double wedding was solemnized yesterday by Rev. Dr. H.L. Wiles at the home of Jas. W. Logan, of Springfield Township, in the presence of only the immediate relatives.  The contracting parties were John W. Logan and Miss Jennie Friedgen and John W. Friedgen and Miss Edith Logan.  It was a case of "trading sisters" and no doubt each young man thinks he has the best of the bargain.  After the ceremony a dinner was served and the happy couples launched their barks upon the sea of life with bright prospects of success before them.

Thursday.  Married, Sept. 5th., at the Mayflower parsonage, by the Rev. R.H. Edmonds, Anthony Styert and Mrs. Hattie Barron.

Wednesday.  At 8:30 o'clock this morning, Charles Wolf, of Galion, and Miss Ida Krabill, youngest daughter of Jacob Krabill, of West First Street, were united in marriage by the Rev. Buesser.  After the wedding dinner, the bridal party left for Cleveland and Detroit.  They received many beautiful and useful presents.  After their return they will reside in Galion.

Thursday.  C.M. Wilson, of Cookton, and Miss Lula May Walters, of Spring Mills, were married at the Lutheran parsonage last night by the Rev. H.L. Wiles, D.D.

Thursday.  Wm. W. Johns, of Akron, and Miss Annetta Mull, who lives near this city, will be married at the Lutheran parsonage this evening by the Rev. H.L. Wiles, D.D.

22 September 1894, Vol. LXXVII, No. 19

C.W. Stentz and Miss Florence Sawhill were married at the Presbyterian parsonage by Rev. D.J. Meese at 7 o'clock this morning.  The bridal couple went to Zanesville where they will visit with relatives for several days and then will return to this city and will be at home to their friends on Park Avenue West.  Mr. Stentz is a bookkeeper for H. Harroun & Co. and is one of the popular young men of the city.

Thursday.  Fred W. Berg and Miss H. Lauretta Hofman were married last evening at the home of the bride's parents, Otis Hofman and wife, on Newman Street.  The groom is a prominent young man and has been employed at I. Shonfield's clothing store for several years.  The bride is a well-known young lady with a host of friends.  

Monday.  Solomon Walters and Miss Olive Good were married this afternoon at the office of A.J. Endly, Justice of the Peace.

Thursday.  Married, at the Congregational parsonage, Sept. 27th., by the Rev. J.W. Hubbell, D.D., Daniel F. Miller and Miss Margaret M. Mutte, of Madison Township.

Saturday.  Invitations have been issued for the wedding of Miss Helen R. Cline and Albert C. Ackerman, at the residence of the bride's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Cline, on West Fourth Street, October 3rd., at 6 o'clock p.m.

Monday.  Justice A.J. Endly married J.F. Cunningham and Sadie Forns this afternoon.

Monday.  Married, last evening at the study of St. Luke's Lutheran Church, by Rev. George H. Reen, Harry C. Kissane and Miss Anna Culp, both of this city.

One of the society events of the season was the marriage last evening of Albert C. Ackerman and Miss Helen R. Cline, daughter of Mr. & Mrs. Joseph Cline.  The bride is a most lovely girl and talented and popular in social circles, and the groom is one of the popular and rising young men of the city and is employed as bookkeeper at the Citizens' National Bank.  The wedding, which took place at the residence of the bride's parents, on West Fourth Street road, about two and a half miles west of the city.  << A further account of this wedding can be found in the source paper, on page 5.  It is a lengthy article.  Those interested may wish to order copies from the Sherman Room at the Mansfield/Richland County Public Library. >>

Tuesday.  James Bennett and Miss Eliza J. Grubaugh, both of this city, were married by 'Squire Smith today.

Wednesday.  Married, Oct. 16, by Rev. Duston Kemble, Jacob D. Leysinger and Miss May Shetler, both of Shelby.

Thursday.  Married, Oct. 17th., at the Lutheran parsonage by Rev. H.L. Wiles, Joseph H. Cairns and Miss Carrie E. Woolley, both of this city.  Mr. and Mrs. Cairns will go to housekeeping in their newly erected residence on North Bowman Street.  Also at the same place and date by Rev. Dr. Wiles, Paul Roethlisberger, one of our most popular young men, and Miss Kate Robinson, one of Pavonia's most estimable young women.  Immediately after the ceremony the newly married couple repaired to Mr. Roethlisberger's pleasant home west of the city, and began housekeeping.

Wiles at 4:30 o'clock last evening.  This will be somewhat of a surprise to the friends of the couple.  It has developed that the young lady's mother, Mrs. Kate Hebler, who owns the Domestic Bakery on East Fourth Street, did not know that her daughter was to be married until a short time before the ceremony, as the bride was afraid her mother would protest against it, but, not wishing to be married without the knowledge of her mother, the daughter confided to her and no serious objection was raised.  Mr. and Mrs. Mull left for Cleveland, where they will remain several days, and then proceed to Indianapolis where Mr. Mull has a position as telegraph operator.  He was formerly employed as operator for the Pennsylvania freight house, and is well known in this city.

Saturday.  Dr. H.L. Hall and Mrs. Martha Dickson were married Thursday evening by Rev. T.R. Hodkinson.  Both the contracting parties were recently divorced.

Saturday.  Married, October 12, by Rev. Duston Kemble, at the residence of W.F. Gates, 49 West Bloom Street, Erwin F. Shearer and Miss Sadie M. Horner, both of Shelby.

Mifflin.  Married, on last Thursday evening at the home of the bride's parents, J.K. Staman, by Rev. H.L. Wiles, Miss Anna Staman and Harry Lemon.

Friday.  Ed. Sillman, of Huron Co., and Miss Lula Welling, of Shiloh, were married in this city yesterday afternoon.

Sunday.  V.E. Rinehart, of Spring Mills, and Miss Kate Kinsey, of this city, were married last evening by Rev. H.L. Wiles at the parsonage.

Washington.  As predicted by the SHIELD scribe the matrimonial wheels have begun to grind, and the result has been three life partnerships during the past two weeks and there are still more to follow.  Married, at the Congregational parsonage, Lucas, Saturday evening, Oct. 13, by Rev. H.P. Hamilton, Aloin Ohler and Miss Rosanna Pulver.  At the residence of Mr. & Mrs. John McNeal, Tuesday evening, Oct. 16, by Rev. H.P. Hamilton, Philip Baer and Miss Dora Barr.  Also on Saturday, Oct. 20, H.L. Swigart and Miss Susanna Fleck.  

Tuesday.  Married, by Rev. H.L. Wiles, at the First English Lutheran parsonage, Sunday evening, H.L. Swigart and Miss Susanna Fleck, of south of the city.

Wednesday.  Married, by Rev. Frank P. Sanders, Ph.D., October 31st., J.W. Spiker and Miss Anna L. Osbun, both of this city.

Friday.  Married, November 1st., by Rev. Duston Kemble, at the residence of the bride's parents, corner of East Fourth and Sugar Streets, Oliver W. Brown and Miss Alice Hughes, both of this city.  Mr. Brown is a well-known carpenter and builder here.  The bride is a popular young lady of the city.  A number of relatives and friends were present.  They will live with the bride's parents for the present.

Saturday.  Married, Nov. 1st., by Rev. H.L. Wiles, Mr. Joseph Manner, of Lucas, and Miss Catherine Manner, of Lima, Ohio.

Tuesday.  Last night and today Dr. H.L. Wiles united in marriage three happy young couple at the Lutheran parsonage.  They are:  Victor Campbell and Miss Viola J. Throne, of this city;  Z. Stewart and Miss Mary Rivel, of Hastings, O.;  and H.E. Gillespie, of Lucas, and Miss Emma Weikal, of Bellville.

Wednesday.  At the First Lutheran parsonage yesterday Dr. H.L. Wiles married George W. Cheesman and Miss Minnie Smalley, both of Plymouth.  At the same place this morning and by the same minister Daniel Ferguson, of Shelby, and Miss Henrietta Broadhead, of Plymouth, were married.

Friday.  T.J. Chamberlain and Miss Myrtle Nelson were married at the residence of the bride's parents, near Olivesburg, by Rev. D.W. Sprinkle, Wednesday, Nov. 7th., at 6 o'clock p.m.  The wedding march was played by Miss Dora McMillen.  A.L. Martin and wife were groomsman and bridesmaid.  About sixty guests were present.  The guests were invited to supper in couples by A.L. Martin and Mrs. H.S. Nelson and were seated by Miss Cora Nelson.  Supper was served in three courses;  first, oyster stew, cold-slaw and coffee;  second, buns, meats and jellies;  third, ice cream, cake, fruits and candies.

Wednesday.  Samuel Race and Miss Myrtle Rank were married at the home of the bride on East Fourth Street, at 7 o'clock last evening by Rev. H.L. Wiles.  The bride is a daughter of S.A. Rank and wife and is a popular young lady.  Mr. Race is the son of T.F. Race and wife, of South Main Street, and has been employed as shipping clerk at the Eclipse Stove Works for the past two years.

Married, Nov. 20th., at the parsonage at 3:30 p.m. by Rev. H.L. Wiles, Marion Brandt and Miss Dora McLaughlin, both of the vicinity of Mansfield.

Thursday.  Dr. F.W. Boyer and Miss Emma McCray were married at the residence of the bride, on West Fourth Street, at 7 o'clock last evening.  Rev. D.J. Meese performed the ceremony.  The bride is the daughter of the late Hon. John T. McCray, of Ashland, and has been living in this city for the past few months.  Dr. Boyer is the well-known dentist in the Masonic Temple building.  He came to this city from Wadsworth, where his parents reside.  Dr. and Mrs. Boyer will go to housekeeping on West Fourth Street and have the best wishes of their many friends.

Plymouth.  Earnest Thrush and Esther Opdyke were married Tuesday evening at the residence of Cyrus Kuhn.  The ceremony was performed by Rev. S.J. McConnell, of Shiloh, in the presence of a large crowd of guests.

Plymouth.  On Thursday evening the marriage of Emerson Dixon and Minnie Hutchinson will take place at the residence of the bride's parents.  One hundred and forty guests are expected at this wedding.  The ceremony will be performed by Rev. Wilson, of the Presbyterian church.

Friday.  Married, Nov. 21st., at the First English Lutheran parsonage, by Rev. H.L. Wiles, W.Z. Zerby and Miss Maude A. Wagner, both of this city.

Schung and Bertha Theis, at the parsonage, Monday afternoon;  James Beattie and Flora Pollock, at the same place, Monday evening;  Wm. E. Wendlandt and Maud J. Chronister, at the parsonage, yesterday forenoon;  Ed. C. Longsdorf, of Cleveland, and Bertha R. Knobel, at the residence of the bride's parents on West Johns Street, yesterday afternoon.

Thursday.  Married, Dec. 27th., at the parsonage, by Rev. Dr. H.L. Wiles, Ellsworth Terman, of Columbia City, Ind., and Miss Clara A. Lehman, of this vicinity.  Also, Dec. 27th., at the parsonage by the same minister, A.E. Lehman, of Greenwich, and Miss Nina M. Piper, of this county.

Thursday.  Miss Maud A. Taylor was married to John H. Hoover at the home of her parents, on High Street, on Christmas night in the presence of the immediate friends and relatives of the contracting parties.  The ceremony was performed by the Rev. R.H. Edmunds, of the Mayflower Memorial church.  After congratulations all were seated to a bountiful wedding supper, to which they did justice.  A number of useful presents were received by the couple.  Mr. & Mrs. Hoover will reside on North Bowman Street.   

At the home of the bride's parents, Jackson Cline and wife, two miles north of the city, last evening, Miss Lizzie Cline and Frank Gribbling, brother of ex-Commissioner Gribbling, were married by Rev. Dr. H.L. Wiles.  About seventy-five guests were present, many of whom were from this city.  The wedding presents were numerous and beautiful.
