Born on a farm near Little Washington, June 30, 1866, P. Sheridan McFarland comes from a family that is well known throughout that section.  He came to Mansfield when only six months old, and with the exception of about two years has been a resident ever since.  He was graduated from the Mansfield High School.  He completed his education with a special course of bookkeeping and accounting.  For two years he was steward and farm superintendent at the Indian School in Dakota, returning to Mansfield to enter the grocery business with his father, R.C. McFarland.  He continued in this until about 12 years ago, when he entered the insurance business and has continued in this as a special agent.  His business training has been such that he is fitted for the office which he seeks.
