May 16, 1878 in Richland County, Ohio by Isaac Culler, Minister, son of Samuel
Wilson and Mary Smith. He was born January 16, 1827 in Pennsylvania, and died
1888 in Mt. Zion, Ohio.

Notes for Margaret Shanibarger:
Margaret's brother, Elias, bought 320 acres of
property in Orange County, Florida on July 25, 1893. On December 21, 1894 he
deeded almost 27 acres in Pine Castle, Florida to Margaret. At some point after Samuel
Wilson died in 1888 and before 1900, Margaret moved from Ohio to Pine Castle
along with her children, including my grandfather, John Henry Wilson. She lived
there until she was 68 years old and is buried at the Conway Methodist Church
Cemetery in Orlando, Florida.
This is what her gravestone says:

Notes for Samuel Wilson II:
Samuel lived to be 61 years old and is buried in
the Methodist Church cemetery in Mt. Zion, Ohio. Aunt Vera has his death from
the cemetery as 1988. Clifford has it as Jan. 20, 1989. He migrated to
Mifflin Township, Richland County, Ohio - date unknown. Richland County was
formed in 1813 and was incorporated into Ashland County at a later date. There
are no records of births or deaths in the county until 1865. The townships of
Lucas and Mifflin, Ohio were locations of the Wilson farm. Burial:
Methodist Church in Mt. Zion, Ohio

Affidavit State of Florida,
County of Orange.
of
W. H. Funk
W.H. Funk, being first duly sworn, upon his oath,
deposes and says that he is 71 years of age and a resident of the State and
County aforesaid.
Affiant further says that he was well acquainted
with Elias W. Shanibarger and Clarinda Shanibarger, his wife, during their
lifetime; that he was a half brother of Elias W. Shanibarger deceased; that said
Elias W. Shanibarger died about the year 1910 and that Clarinda Shanibarger died
about the year 1927. Affiant furhter states that there were five children born
to Elias W. Shanibarger and Clarinda Shanibarger, his wife; two children dying
in infancy, having neither married and having left neither child or children;
that at the time of the death of Elias W. Shanibarger and Clarinda Shanibarger,
his wife, there were left three children surviving said Elias W. Shanibarger and
Clarinda Shanibarger, his wife, namely; Alverda Shanibarger, Mabel Shanibarger
and P.M. Shanibarger.
Affiant further says that Mabel Shanibarger died
in 1928; that she left no husband nor child surviving her.
Affiant further says that he was personally
acquainted with Margaret Wilson, Jacob Shanibarger and Julia A. Funk, grantees
in a certain deed from Elias W. Shanibarger and wife, Clarinda
Shanibarger, dated Dec. 21st, 1894, said deed being recorded in Deed Book 93,
page 50 of the public records of Orange County, Florida; that said Julia A. Funk
was affiant’s mother and that she died about the year 1902, and that she died
prior to Elias W. Shanibarger’s death.
Affiant further says that he was acquainted with
Margaret Wilson, that Margaret Wilson was a daughter of Julia A. Funk and that
Margaret Wilson died about the year 1912, leaving at her death, as heirs P.S.
Wilson, Luther S. Wilson, John H. Wilson, and Annie S. Wilson, who later married
C. J. Sweet.
Affiant further says that he was acquainted with
Jacob Shanibarger and that Jacob Shanibarger died about the year 1913; that
Jacob Shanibarger never married and that he left no wife...child or children
surviving him.
Affiant further says that on January the 27th,
1926 .. the sole surviving heirs of Elias W. Shanibarger, Jacob Shanibarger...Koogle,
and Julia A. Funk were Clarinda Shanibarger, Mary ...ger and W. H. Funk, the
affiant, Amelia Funk. Alverda Shani... Mabel Shanibarger.
Affiant further says that he was personally
acquainted with the parties signing a certain deed which is recorded ...

That Jacob Shanibarger, late of the County of
Orange and State of Florida, died itestate on the 14th or 15th day of August,
A.D. 1913, leaving heirs and legal representatives him surviving, viz: Mary
Koogle, sister, W.H. Funk, half-brother, Mrs. Clarinda Shanibarger,
sister-in-law, Mabel & Alberta Shanibarger, nieces; Mrs. Annie Wilson,
niece, P. S. Wilson, nephew, Luther Wilson, John Wilson, nephews and P. M.
Shanibarger, nephew, the petitioner;
