On last Saturday, Andy Myers, met with a serious accident while engaged with a team at the County Infirmary.  The horses became frightened at a little girl coming up behind the wagon and forced his leg against an iron rod of a watering trough, crushing the ankle terribly.  On Sunday, Dr. Wolf, the county physician, by direction of the Infirmary Directors, called in Dr. A.E. Keyes, who amputated the injured leg below the knee.  Myers has been an inmate of the Infirmary for twenty years and is said to be one of the best men in the place.
