* INCOMPLETE ISSUE *

At a meeting of a number of the citizens of Richland County, convened at the house of Mr. John Wiler in the town of Mansfield, on the 28th. Dec. 1833, agreeable to previous public notice, Mr. John Kenedy [sic.] was called to the Chair, and Baldwin Bentley was appointed Secretary.  The object of the meeting being fully stated, the following resolution was unanimously adopted.   Resolved, That the right of assembling ourselves together in a peaceable manner for the purpose of giving our expressions to the world, either approving or disapproving of the official conduct of those who have received their power from the people;  and of making full expressions of our wishes in the selection of public office <<illegible>> with the true <<illegible>> spirit of a Republican Government.  This meeting then adjourned for further consideration until 12 o'clock on Wednesday, the 1st. day of January, 1834.   January 1st., 1834.  Met pursuant to adjournment, and after the house was called to order by the chairman, the following resolutions were adopted:  Resolved:  That this meeting appoint five delegates to attend the State Convention at Columbus, on the 8th. inst.;  accordingly Matthew Lind, Esq., Doct. Daniel J. Swinney, Wm. McLaughlin, Esq. T.W. Bartley, Esq. & James R. Gass, Esq., were appointed said delegates.  Resolved, That the above named delegates be instructed to use all honorable means to procure the nomination of Gen. Rob't. Lucas, for Governor of this State.

MARRIED, on Thursday last by the Rev. Wm. Runnells, Mr. Jesse Fisher of Lexington, to Miss Lydia Cook, of Washington Township.

IN CHANCERY:  Thomas Edgington vs. Joseph Williams, Mary Ann Williams, Elizabeth Williams, Meshack Rubendall, Mary Rubendall & Lyman G. Austen}  BY VIRTUE of a decretal order of the Supreme Court of the State of Ohio, in and for the County of Richland, made in this case at their Sept. Term, 1833, I will expose to Sale at the door of the Court House in the town of Mansfield, on the 8th. day of February next (1834) between the hours of 10 o'clock A.M. and 4 o'clock P.M. of said day, the South West quarter of Section Number Ten, in Township twenty-one, of Range Number eighteen, situate in the county of Richland, the same being Virginia Military School Land, which was decreed to be sold as the property of Joseph Williams, and said land to be sold subject to the annual rents. -- Ellzey Hedges, Master Com. in Chanc'y for S.C.R.C.O., January 4th., 1834.

Thomas Freeston vs. Richard Thew & Francis Thew}  By virtue of a decree of the Court of Common Pleas of Richland County and State of Ohio, made in this cause at their November Term 1833, I will expose to Sale at the door of the Court House in the Town of Mansfield, between the hours of 10 o'clock A.M. and 4 o'clock P.M. on the 8th. day of February next, the following described Land, to wit:  The South West Quarter of Section No. Ten, Township No. 23, and of Range No. nineteen;  lying and being situate in said county of Richland, which was decreed to be sold as the property of Richard Thew.  -- G. SHERIFF'S SALE.  By virtue of a writ of Fi. Fa., to me directed and delivered from the Court of Common Pleas of Richland County, Ohio, I will expose to public sale at the house of John Mann, in the town of Mansfield, between the hours of 10 o'clock A.M. and 4 o'clock P.M. on Saturday the 8th. day of February 1834, the following property, (to wit:)  one Mantle Clock, one Bureau & Book Case, three Dining Tables, one Stand Table, one Breakfast Table, one Kitchen Cupboard, thirty-two Windsor chairs, ten Split bottom chairs, seven French post Bedsteads and Bedding for the same, one common Bedstead and bedding, one fire Shovel and fire Tongs, three pair of Hand irons, two lots of Carpeting, thirteen Decanters, one half-gallon <<illegible>>, one gallon Bottle, two brass Candlesticks, two Iron Candlesticks, two Griddles, one Spider, one Bake oven, one pair Steelyards, one 13 gallon Kettle, one iron bound Keg, one Clothes Basket, two Coffee pots, one Coffee Boiler, one Coffee mill, two Pitchers, one stew kettle, one Teapot, two Looking glasses, and one large Waiter, seized and taken in execution as the property of John Mann, at the suit of Nathaniel Bryant and Nathaniel Underhill, and to be sold by me.  -- G. FOR SALE -- A 15 acre lot, situated about 5 miles South East of Mansfield in Monroe Township, on the graded road leading from Mansfield to Millersburg, having on it a comfortable hewed log dwelling, a Blacksmith Shop, goosd Stables, an excellent Apple Orchard, and five acres of good meadow;  besides a good Sugar Camp, and a Spring of first rate water immediately at the door of the house.  For terms apply to the subscriber.  -- Robert McDermot, December 26, 1833.

ADMINISTRATOR'S SALE -- To be sold on the farm of Pelham Cook, dec'd, in Green township on the 17th. day of January next, the personal property of said decedent, consisting of Cattle, Hogs, Sheep, Grain, and Farming Utensils.  Sale to be by public auction, and on a credit of Six months, in case of bond approved security. <<Illegible>> the same to the subscriber, duly authenticated for settlement within one year from the ninth day of November last, and those indebted to said estate must make immediate payment to Daniel Cook, Administrator.

NOTICE TO MECHANICS -- There will be offered for Sale at the Court House in Mansfield, on the 22d. day of January next, the building of a new Jail in the Town of Mansfield, Richland County, O.  Persons wishing to avail themselves of this Notice, can have access to the plan and specifications by calling at the Auditor's Office.  -- B. SHERIFF'S SALE -- By virtue of a writ of Venditioni Exponas to me directed and delivered from the Court of Common Pleas of Richland County, Ohio, I will expose to public Sale at the door of the Court House in the Town of Mansfield, between the hours of 10 o'clock A.M. and 4 o'clock P.M., on Wednesday the 29th. day of January, 1834, the following described property, to wit:  The East half of the South East quarter of Section No. 2, in Township No. 19, and Range 16, and said County of Richland.  Seized and taken in execution as the property of John Neptune and William Neptune, at the suit of Thomas McMahan.  -- G. IN CHANCERY:  Walter N. Ruffner vs. Martin R. Coffman & David Coffman}  By virtue of a decretal order of the Court of Common Pleas of Richland County, State of Ohio, made in this cause at their June Term, 1833, I will expose to sale at the door of the Court House in the town of Mansfield, between the hours of 10 o'clock A.M. and 4 o'clock P.M. on the 15th. day of January, 1834, the right, title and interest of said Martin R. Coffman and David Coffman, in and to the South East Quarter of Section Fifteen, Township Twenty three, Range Seventeen, lying and being situate in said county of Richland, that is to say, the said David Coffman's interest therein being an estate for and during his natural life;  and the said Martin R. Coffman's interest therein being the undivided half of said Quarter Section, subject to the life estate of said David Coffman.  -- Ellzey Hedges, Master Commissioner in Chancery.

CLOCK & WATCH MAKER, The subscriber respectfully informs the public, that he has commenced the CLOCK & WATCH REPAIRING, GOLD & SILVER SMITH BUSINESS.  In the room lately occupied by Mr. Hoffman, in the same building with the Printing Office, and having purchased out Mr. Hoffman's stock and interest in the above line of business, is enabled to offer to the public a handsome assortment of JEWELRY and other articles, consisting of Silver and plated Tea and Table Spoons, Sugar Tongs, Candlesticks, and Thimbles.  Also, Watches, Watch Chains, Seals & Keys, Beads, Bead Guards, and Purses, Gold, Gilt & Plated, Set and Plain Finger Rings, Ear Rings and Drops, Breast Pins and Studs, Silver and Plated Pencil Cases, Spectacles, &c. &c.  CLOCKS & WATCHES of all descriptions carefully repaired, Spectacle glasses fitted to old frames, and all other repairing and mending in this line neatly executed.  All orders from a distance punctually attended to.  He hopes by a strict attention to business to merit a share of public patronage.  -- Jacob Hull, Mansfield, Dec. 14th., 1833.

LAST CALL BUT ONE.  ALL persons having unsettled accounts with the late firm of Arnold & Day, are herby notified to call and settle with the subscriber, by giving their note or otherwise, on or before the 15th. day of January next.  Those neglecting this friendly invitation will, after that time, be waited upon at their own expense.  -- S.B. NOTICE.  In pursuance of an order of the Richland Court of Common Pleas, I shall, on the 21st. day of January, A.D. 1834, at 11 o'clock A.M. offer at public sale upon the premises, the following real estate of the late Wm. Trucks, the elder, dec'd. to wit:  a part of the S.E. qr. of Sec. No. 5, Township 22, Range 16, situate in Richland County, Ohio, with the appurtenances.  Said estate will be sold in two parcels, one of which is bounded, beginning at a post on the South line of said quarter, thence N. 19 W . 35, 8 perches, to a post;  thence N. 3 W. 18, 4 perches, to an elm, 40 inches diameter;  thence S. 5 15 W. 25, 4 perches to a post;  thence S. 31 W 34, 4 perches to the South boundary line of said Section;  thence N. 86 E. 33. 1 rods, to the place of beginning, containing 3 acres, 2 rods & 33 rods, or thereabouts.  The other parcel of which is bounded, beginning at a White Oak on the South East boundary line of and -- Sect. SHERIFF'S SALE -- By virtue of a writ of Venditioni Exponas to me directed and delivered from the Court of Common Pleas of Richard County, Ohio, I will expose to public Sale at the door of the Court House in the Town of Mansfield, between the hours, of 10 o'clock A.M. and 4 o'clock P.M., on Saturday the 25th. day of January, 1834, the following described property, to wit:  Lot No. 31, and the appurtenances thereunto belonging, in the first addition in the Town of Newville, in said County of Richland.  Seized and taken in execution as the property of Abraham Nye, of the suit of ----- Watts, and to be sold by me.  -- G. TAKE NOTICE -- WHEREAS my wife Mary has left my bed and board without any just cause or provocation, this is to forbid all persons from harboring or trusting her on my account, as I will pay no debts of her contracting after this date.  -- Frederick Wise, Jefferson Township, Dec. 20, 1833.

NOTICE -- All persons who know themselves indebted to the estate of Henry Winebrener, Dec'd, late of Madison Township, Richland County, Ohio, by note, bond or book account, are requested to come forward and settle up on or before the 10th. of January, and all having claims will present them for settlement.  -- Catharine Winebrener, Exe'x & John Ternan¹, Executor, Dec. 13, 1833.

Bartley, Have formed a partnership in the practice of their Profession in this County.  They have opened an Office on West Diamond Street, one door south of Mr. Arnold's store -- where one or both of them will at all times be found, to attend punctually to all matters requiring professional agency.  June 1st., 1832.
