Mr. D.M. Garrett is erecting a new dwelling house south of the woolen mill. 

Mr. Daniel Myers, Sr., slipped and fell last Sabbath morning, and very seriously injured himself.

Hon. Henry Shirck, formerly Representative of this county is publishing a German paper at Carrol, Iowa, called the Iowa DEMOCRAT.  Success to him.

The firm of Saviers & Sotzen is this day dissolved by mutual consent, Mr. Henry Sotzen retiring from the same.  All bills against said firm will be settled by John Saviers, and all persons indebted to the old firm will please settle immediately at the same place.  -- John Saviers & Henry Sotzen.

MARRIED, By Rev. N.H. Loose at his residence, January 26th., 1875, Mr. Harmon Dick and Miss Mary Malone, both of the vicinity of Shelby, Ohio.

Mansfield is to have a Military Company.  W.H. Farber has been chosen captain.  Mansfield Guard of Honor, is the name chosen by the braves.

BIRTHDAY PARTY - There was quite an interesting gathering of the family of Mrs. Catharine Laser, at her residence, on Thursday evening, January 21, 1875, to celebrate her 64th. birthday.  The sons-in-law J.E. Sellers, John Snyder and Samuel Fletcher with their wives and families, and by invitation Rev. N.H. Loose and lady -- Lewis Hines, lady and daughter, Daniel and Eve Henry were present.  A sumptuous supper was not the least part of the entertainment.  Several valuable and useful presents were, by the family given to their mother.  The evening was a social re-union long to be remembered as one of life's brightest and best pages.

On the 19th. inst., I heard two good sermons;  one a funeral sermon, delivered by Rev. Morthland in the London Church at the obsequies of Araminta, daughter of Witmer and Margaret Rees.  The other in the Dunkard church by Mr. Wortman.
