The wife of Mr. James Dawson, of East Shelby, died on Monday last, and was buried on Tuesday. The following County ticket was nominated by the Republican Convention last Saturday: Representative -- Charles Marshall; Sheriff -- Christopher Au; Auditor -- Wm. P. Farber; Probate Judge -- D.S. Hoover; Treasurer -- J.A. Beverstock; Infirmary Director -- Samuel Robinson; County Surveyor -- Joseph Fleming. No Commissioner -- but recommended Mr. Joseph Boals. Mr. Almanzo Rogers recently celebrated his eighty-first birthday on July 23d. A large number of his descendants were present. We learn from the Plymouth Advertiser that Judge Gamble and several others delivered appropriate addresses. It was quite an enjoyable affair. |
