DIED, On the 3d. inst. Perry, infant son of Wm. and Cordelia Hutchinson, aged 9 months, and 15 days. Suddenly, the angel reaper gathered this flower, just in the harvest time. His earthly mission was done. He started waves of paternal love that follow him to the other shore. His short life called forth sympathies and cares which now lead the thoughts of friends away to that rest above. The little body was borne to the grave at Mt. Pleasant church, amid many sympathizing friends. << scripture omitted >> A Sunday School was organized at the Junction School House last Sunday afternoon. G.W. Baker was elected Superintendent and Treasurer, and Mrs. Emily Wilkinson as Assistant Superintendent and Secretary. The teachers are: E. Brooks, Mary Albert, Albert Swanger, Henry Bistline, Miss Emma Fry, Jane Conway, Miss Lizzie Meredith, Miss Allie Breckbill, Miss Emma Weiser, and Henry Breckbill. Mr. D.B. Sipe was elected Chorister. There were present eighty-seven scholars, teachers and officers, and a number of visitors. The school is a success from the beginning. |
