MARRIED, On Thursday evening, Dec. 23d., 1875, by Rev. J.W. Lowe, at the residence of Mr. H.E. McMillin, Mr. Byron G. Gilbert and Miss Ella J. North, sister of Mrs. McMillin.

DIED, At Mr. John Fireoved's, December 20th., 1875, Rachel Jane, daughter of Daniel W. and Anna Catherine Souder, residents of Ft. Wayne, Indiana, aged 1 year.  On the 9th. of November last, Mrs. Souder came from Ft. Wayne to pay a visit to her parents, Mr. John Fireoved and wife and other relatives.  During her visit, little Rady took the "chicken pox" with which she died after an illness of a few days.  Little Rady's body was consigned to its last earthly resting place, December 21st., in the London Cemetery, after a sermon by Rev. D.I. Foust, from Mark 10:14 "Of such is the Kingdom of God."

The position of Janitor of the new school house has been awarded to Mr. H.H. Shriner, at $19.50 per month.

DIED, At the residence of her husband, Mr. Benjamin Hollenbaugh, on North Broadway, Mrs. Mary Hollenbaugh, December 14th., 1875, aged 70 years, 6 months and 21 days.  Mother Hollenbaugh was born in Sherman's Valley, then Cumberland, now Perry County, Pa.  She was admitted into the Lutheran Church, by Rev. Hime over fifty years ago, and continued a member of the same to the time of her death.  She was ready and willing "to depart and be with Christ".  The funeral services were held in the London Church, December 16th., conducted by her pastor, Rev. D.I. Foust, assisted by Rev. Ramsey, Pastor of the U.B. Church of Shelby.  After the service in the Church, her body was laid to rest in the London Cemetery with appropriate ceremonies.  The funeral was attended by a large circle of relations and friends.

DIED, On Friday, December 24th., Mrs. Elizabeth May, wife of Henry May, aged 48 years, 9 months and 20 days.  A kind husband and seven children are left to mourn their loss.  But they mourn not as those who have no hope.  Their loss is her eternal gain.  She became a member of the Ev. Lutheran Church in the days of her youth, and has maintained that membership until death.  May heaven's choicest blessing rest upon the bereft family.  Her remains were interred at London Church, by a large congregation of relatives and friends. -- O.H. Ramsey
