NOTE ON OBTAINING OBITUARIES FROM THE PUBLIC LIBRARY

The Sherman Room at the Mansfield/Richland County Public Library (in downtown Mansfield) has microfilms from many of the old Mansfield newspapers - and may be able to provide copies for you for a small fee.   CLICK HERE to link to the library's Newspaper Index.  (Hint -- Use Microsoft Internet Explorer, since Netscape does not work too well with this database system)   Use the WORD SEARCH field to enter surnames (last names) and then click the red GO button.  If you find an entry that matches what you need, copy down the information and send a request to the library ...

* As of April, 2007, their fee for this service was ... $2.00 + twenty-five cents per copy requested.  If you have not included enough money, you will be billed for the remainder when they send your copies.  Checks are accepted.  Including a legal-sized self-addressed stamped envelope would be greatly appreciated.  There is a limit of 6 requests were order.
