January 1, 1885:  Volume 35, No. 7

The will of Peter Miller has been admitted to probate and bond filed of $9,900, with Samuel Bell as executor.  

The will of Geo. B. Myers has also been admitted to probate.

John W. Cullen has been appointed administrator of the estate of Jarvis Culler, bond $8000.

January 8, 1885:  Volume 34, No. 8

The will of Oliver Ames has been admitted to probate.

Application has been made to admit the will of Peter Kipp to probate. 

Henry Statler has been appointed administrator of the estate of Elizabeth Statler, bonds $6000.

Pius Metzger has been appointed guardian of Joseph b, aged 14, orphan from St. John Vincent Orphan Institute, Columbus, Ohio, bond $500.

Fred. K. Tracy has been appointed administrator with will annexed of the estate of Geo. B. Myers with the bond of $2000.

January 15, 1885:  Volume 35, No. 9

The will of Charles Petry has been filed, with Wm. & David Petry as executors, bond $16,000.

Application has been made to admit to probate the wills of Solomon Wentz, Chas. Petry and Daniel Fisher.  

The will of Peter Kipp has been filed and admitted to probate.

The will of Daniel Fisher has been admitted to probate with Irwin Fisher, executor, no bond.

January 22, 1885:  Volume 35, No. 10

Jacob Painter has been appointed guardian of Samuel A. Painter, aged 14 years, minor child of Nancy Painter, deceased, bond $2,000.

Dennis Campbell has been appointed administrator de bonis non with will annexed of John F. Marlow, bond $3600.  

Application has been made to admit to probate the wills of Peter Horn and Jacob Row.

Margaret Hines has been appointed guardian of Albert Hines, insane, with bond of $600.

The will of Solomon Wentz has been admitted to probate with Wm. Owings as executor whose bond is $800.  

Application has been made to admit to probate the will and codicil thereto of Alexander Thompson.

January 29, 1885:  Volume 35, No. 11

Mary Reiber, of Bellville, has been declared insane by the Probate Court and application has been made to have her admitted to the Central Insane Asylum at Columbus.

The following appointments have been made by the Probate Judge:  P.H. and J.H. Horn, executors of the will of Peter Horn, no bond;  James E. Finney, administrator of the estate of Thomas Maxwell, bond $4,000;  Henry F. Finical administrator of the estate of Geo. Finical, bond $1500.

Dennis S. Campbell has been appointed administrator de bonis non with will attached of the estate of John F. Mamber with bond at $3600.

Application has been made to admit the wills of Gun Glosser and John K. Crouch to probate.  

Philip Dencer has been appointed guardian of Mary Dencer, aged 13 years, and Catharine Dencer, aged 7 years, heirs of Catharine Dencer, bond $132.00.  

The will and codicil of Alexander Thompson has been admitted to probate with W.W. Cockley as executor, no bond.

February 5, 1885:  Volume 35, No. 12

John R. Stratton has been appointed administrator with will annexed of the estate of Mary Stratton with bond of $2,000.

On the application of Celia E. Chapman last Friday C.E. McBride was appointed receiver for Wm. Lentz and entered bond in the sum of $400.

David Hollenbaugh has been appointed administrator with will annexed of the estate of Jacob Row with bond of $800.

February 12, 1885:  Volume 35, No. 13

John D. Emptage, aged 24, has been declared insane and application will be made to have him admitted to the Asylum at Columbus.

February 19, 1885:  Volume 35, No. 14

Robert Patterson named guardian of Jane Viers, an imbecile, bond $2,000.

Norman M. Wolfe named administrator de bonis non with will attached of the estate of Elizabeth Ball, bond $500.

James P. Seward named administrator of Charles Emelius.

Application has been made to admit to probate the wills of Fanny Pollock and John Marble. John W. Pollock and Maggie J. Pollock are named the executors of the former with bond fixed at $3200.

March 5, 1885:  Volume 35, No. 16

The will of John K. Crouch has been admitted to probate with Alpharetta F. Crouch, executrix, bond $1800.  

The will of Eliza Crouse has also been admitted to probate.

David Taylor has been appointed guardian of Robert Taylor, an imbecile, with a bond of $1600.

March 12, 1885:  Volume 35, No. 17

The will of John K. Crouch with Alpharetta F. Crouch as executrix and under bond of $1800, has been filed and admitted to probate.

The will of Eliza Crouse has also been filed and admitted to probate.  

Application has been made to admit to probate the wills of Matilda Cummings, Isaac Ferguson and Mansfield H. Gilkison.

Geo. Leuthner has been appointed administrator of the estate of L. Leuthner, bond $2,400.

The wills of Mansfield H. Gilkison and John Marks have been admitted to probate with Lowrey Sibbetts and C.C. Laser executors respectively.  The bond of the former is $500 and of the latter $4800.  

Barbara Emptage has been appointed guardian of John D. Emptage, an insane person, with a bond of $500.

March 26, 1885:  Volume 35, No. 19

Elizabeth Winton, of Shelby, has been adjudged insane, but cannot be received at the Central Asylum because Richland County's quota is full to overflowing.  The county is allowed 30 inmates, but there are now 35 in that institution from the county.  None of these are in a condition to be discharged, either because incurable or cured, and hence no more can be admitted for the present.

Application has been made to Probate Court to recommit to the Central Asylum a 17-year old girl named Rhoda Simms, who resides at Shelby.  At the age of 16 this young lady was declared insane and was sent to the asylum to be treated.  In a short time she recovered and was discharged.  Lately she has shown signs of a return of the malady, and hence this application.

April 2, 1885:  Volume 35, No. 20

William Slaybaugh was appointed March 28th., administrator of the estate of Isaac Miller, deceased.  Bond $800.

David E. Keiser was appointed administrator of the estate of Michael Keiser, deceased.  Bond $1000.

April 9, 1885:  Volume 35, No. 21

Application to admit to probate the last will and testament of Wm. B. Mercer, deceased.  Will probated and Joanna H. Mercer appointed executrix.

Application to admit to probate the last will and testament of Elizabeth Cramer, deceased.

April 16, 1885:  Volume 35, No. 22

In the matter of the administration of the estate of Paul Ralston, deceased, will probated and John R. Ralston appointed executor according to the terms of the will.

Application to admit to probate the last will and testament of Mary Thuma, deceased.

April 23, 1885:  Volume 35, No. 23

Sarah Bowen, of Plymouth, was adjudged insane by Probate Judge A.J. Mack, at the inquest held upon her at that place Thursday afternoon, and application was made for her admittance to the Insane Asylum at Columbus.
