	In probate court today, Mary B. Harter was appointed guardian of Isaac Harter, aged 16, and Huntington Harter, aged 12, minor children of Hon. Michael D. Harter, deceased. It is thought by Mr. Harter's relatives that he has no will in existence, although several years ago he submitted a will to his attorney, George Brinkerhoff, for advice. He told Mr. Brinkerhoff last fall that he still had the same will. The relatives think that if that will is still in existence, it is among his papers in Philadelphia. If there is no will the property will be divided according to the laws of the state of Ohio.

	John Wood, an aged resident of this city, was adjudged insane today by Judge Brucker and will be taken to the insane hospital at Toledo.
	Mrs. Will O. Scott of Butler was adjudged insane in probate court Friday and removed to the Toledo asylum. Mrs. Scott is the daughter of Mr. & Mrs. James Craig of Butler, and was married to Mr. Scott in 1887, who is a minister of the Methodist Protestant church. The mental trouble of the unfortunate woman first made its appearance in September last, while her husband was preaching in McConnellsville, O., since which time both have been at the home of her parents.

	Newville -- Norman Switzer, of Monroe Twp., procured a license Oct. 22 to marry Miss Alma Oswalt, daughter of Andrew Oswalt, making affidavit that the girl was 18 years of age when she is not yet 17 years old. Alma claims she never made any promise to marry him and her father says Oswalt never consulted him on the subject. What object he had in view is a mystery to the Oswalt family.
