Society Gossip of the Day

 
Roscoe Skiles, of Shelby, is in the city today on business.
 
Charles D. Bushnell went to Chicago today to spend a week.
 
Jacob Lersch is in the city today from Ashland on business.
 
Judge H. L. McCray, of Ashland, is in the city today on legal business.
 
William Runyan went to Sandusky this morning to spend a few days.
 
The Rev. Mr. Mathers, mayor of Canton, was a caller in the city Sunday afternoon.
 
Dr. J. H. Willard, of Loudonville, was in the city this morning enroute to West Salem.
 
George Kyle, of Park avenue west, was the guest of Ashland friends Sunday afternoon.
 
Miss Laura Ridgely, of H. L. Reed's store, spent Sunday with relatives and friends in Ashland.
 
Mr. and Mrs. F. H. Holman, of Chicago, were guests at the Tremont House Sunday afternoon.
 
Miss Florence Good is in the city today from Ashland and is the guest of friends on West Fifth street.
 
Mrs. C. F. Gibbs and daughter Gladys, of South Main street, left today for St. Paris to visit relatives.
 
Mrs. G. U. Kuhn, of Shelby, was the guest of Mr. and Mrs. S. S. Bricker, on South Mulberry street, Sunday.
 
M. W. McFarland went to Mr. Vernon this morning on business connected with the S. N. Ford Lumber company.
 
The Rev. Dr. Miller, pastor of the Lutheran church, in Plymouth, is spending the day in the city with friends.
 
The Misses Maud Smith, Ethel Ashley and Edith Knapp, of Shelby, were the guests of friends here Sunday afternoon.
 
Robert Morris, of Wood street, left this morning on a month's business trip through the state of Michigan in interest of the Annex Shoe company, of Columbus.
 
Mr. and Mrs. Louis Slack, of Delaware, are the guests of Mr. and Mrs. John Powers, on South Franklin avenue.  Mr. Slack was formerly county treasurer of Delaware county.
 
Mr. and Mrs. Arnold Kalmerten returned this morning at 10:00, where they attended the dedication of the now Sunday school chapel of the St. John's German Lutheran church, which took place Sunday morning.
 
Mr. and Mrs. W. S. Kerr, of Park avenue west, went to Lucas Sunday, where they will attend the funeral service of the latter's father, Samuel Barr, which will be held Tuesday.  A number of friends from this city will also be in attendance.
 
Emmett Baxter, of West Second street, returned Sunday night from Cleveland, where he has been attending a meeting of the American Stove association, of which he is a member.  Cleveland furnishes the headquarters for this district of the combine.
