Map of Spring Grove Lake

Proposed location for Spring Grove Lake.  Plans for the pleasure retreat area included having "graveled walks through the grounds, a smooth drive-way to the old State Road" and "a hall for dancing, a bowling alley, booths and other necessary buildings" and "rustic bridges".  In the winter, the lake will "afford a splendid field for lovers of the skatorial art".  The estimated cost for grounds and improvements was from $10,000 to $12,000.
