WOMAN KILLS HUSBAND, FREED

Mrs. Mary F. Schafer, of Mansfield, who shot and killed her husband, Nicholas Schafer, at their home, 211 Park Avenue East, Monday night, was given her liberty after a preliminary hearing in Mayor Bruner's court. The woman proved that she shot the man in self-defense during one of his brutal attacks.
