| Oct. 1, 1831 | Rev. Francis J. Ruth came from Maryland to preach to Lutherans in Mansfield area. |
| 1832 | Rev. Ruth organized 15 Lutherans into The First Lutheran Church |
| 1836-1841 | First resident pastor, Rev. George Leiter. Lutheran join with German Reformed to purchase Methodist church building located on Water St. (Adams) |

| 1843-1845 | Rev. Leiter returns. |

| 1849 | Rev. Simon Fenner (Zenner) separated English and German interests. |
| May 5, 1850 | First English Lutheran Church organized. Reformed and German Lutherans left with no definite organization for 2 years but they continued to worship together. |
