Zeiders Heard From

source:  Semi-Weekly News:  28 May 1897, Vol. 13, No. 43

Reuben Zeider, who disappeared from his home in this city, Jan. 16, last has been located at Williamsport, Pa.  His wife and J.B. Niman, of the Union Foundry had been employed, received letters from him yesterday.  When he went away so suddenly it had been thought that he had committed suicide and a very thorough search was made for him.  He writes to Mr. Niman that he has been gone a much longer time than he had intended.  It seems that Mr. Zeider is an inventor and he is now at work on the engine and he hopes soon to realize on it and obtain money to return home and settle up his affairs.  He expresses sorrow for the anxiety he has caused to his friends in going away without saying anything about where he was going.
